- Develop, implement, and maintain the company's Health, Safety, and Environmental Management System including preparation of a HSE Manual
- Responsible for implementation of HSE policy and procedures across the organization
- Developing and enforcing safety policies and procedures and ensure employee compliance
- Conduct risk assessments and develop control measures to mitigate identified risks
- Coordinating safety training programs to help employees understand and follow safety protocols
- Guiding & supporting project site HSE team for implementation of HSE requirements as per clients protocols
- Develop & identify techniques for the identification, control, assessment, and mitigation of hazards & effects (HIRA).
- Develop guidelines & procedures for minimizing the impact on environment through organizational activities (EAIA) including systems for identification, classification, minimization and management of waste
- Set HSE targets and objectives & carry out periodic HSE audits across the organization including project sites
- Investigate incidents, near misses, and accidents, and prepare reports as required
- Monitoring employee safety performance to identify areas for improvement
- Identifying ways to improve safety by conducting studies on workplace hazards
- Ensure compliance with all relevant legal requirements.
- Monitor and audit HSE performance of the employees & keeping accurate records
- Provide health and safety training for employees at all levels
- Keep up to date with changes in legislation and industry best practices
- Liaise with external bodies such as regulatory authorities and insurance providers
- Keep the management updated with the MIS on HSE compliances across projects and submit reports as required
- Develop and deliver presentations on health and safety topics
- Champion a positive health and safety culture within the organization
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in occupational health, safety, or related field
- 10+ years experience in a health, safety, and environmental role
- Should have additional diplomas like Industrial & Fire safety from NEBOSH / IOSH etc
- Rich experience of working at project sites involving mechanical, civil, electrical works
- Proven experience developing and implementing HSE programs
- Working knowledge of relevant legislation and standards (OSHA, MSHA, EPA, etc.)
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
